A Credit Administration Analyst is responsible for administering the covenant monitoring process of tracking covenant requirements, compliance, and working closely with Relationship Managers and Business Bankers (“bankers”) to resolve issues.
Key requirements of the position include developing a strong knowledge of loan documents, covenant monitoring practices, excellent attention to detail, strong interpersonal skills, a desire to learn, plus the ability to effectively manage time and changing priorities.
Responsibilities
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
• Assess compliance with individual covenant requirements by thoroughly reviewing information received; – escalate issues and discrepancies to banker and support team.
• Review monthly and periodic covenant management reports to proactively identify errors and potential issues.
• Provide timely and accurate guidance to bankers and support teams regarding covenant requirements and compliance.
• Provide timely and accurate guidance to bankers for due date extensions or waivers.
• Ensure covenants are properly reflected in LoanVantage (covenant management system), and changes and status updates are accurate and appropriate.
• Assist bankers with assessing and preparing recommendations for approval of covenant waivers and modifications.
• Provide timely responses for adherence with covenant standards and practices.
• Apprise senior management of substantive non-compliance issues and adverse trends.
• Identify areas for increased efficiencies in processes and higher quality internal service, and make recommendations accordingly.
• Perform other duties & responsibilities as required or assigned by supervisor.
• Adhering to and complying with all applicable, federal and state laws, regulations and guidance, including those related to Anti-Money Laundering (i.e. Bank Secrecy Act, USA PATRIOT Act, etc.).
• Adhering to Bank policies and procedures.
• Completing required training.
• Identifying and reporting potential suspicious activity to the BSA/AML Officer.
• Knowing and verifying the identity of any customer(s) that enters into a relationship with the Bank.

Qualifications
KEY SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
• A Bachelor’s Degree or up to two years equivalent/related business experience;
• Proficiency in lending terminology and documentation to ensure approved loan covenants are correctly interpreted and captured for monitoring;
• Demonstrated skills in organization and strong attention to detail;
• Proactive individual able to operate efficiently in a fast paced environment;
• Quick learner and ability manage multiple priorities;
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently;
• Ability to work with many different types of people and personalities;
• Excellent oral and written communication and reasoning skills;
• Working knowledge of AFS Level III, Word, Excel and Outlook. Access is a plus.
MENTAL/PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• The ability to learn and comprehend basic instructions; understand the meanings of words and respond effectively; and perform basic arithmetic accurately and quickly.
• Vision must be sufficient to read data reports, manuals and computer screens.
• Hearing must be sufficient to understand a conversation at a normal volume, including telephone calls and in person.
• Speech must be coherent to clearly convey or exchange information, including the giving and receiving of assignments and/or directions.
• Position involves sitting most of the time, but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
