Account Manager III (AMIII)'s are expected to meet with their clients regularly to build relationships, educate them on pertinent industry trends as well as to generate dialogue around the clients’ current and future needs in order to ensure client satisfaction by delivering upon our Customer Promise to ASK, LISTEN and SOLVE. As the AMIII they are the single point of contact to a variety of resources that will be needed in order to assist their clients’ in meeting their stated goals. In order to be successful, they will need to be well organized, able to work independently and capable of identifying and recommending appropriate solutions that may also require them to coordinate activities of multiple resources to ensure their clients’ objectives are met. The resources that will be utilized will include a variety of internal and external groups, which are experts in products, services, technical solutions, compliance and industry pricing requirements. They will also leverage their resources, their own industry knowledge and the experience they have with their clients to identify account expansion opportunities that may include a new Commerce Bank service, modification in work flow to reduce administration costs and or/improve their operating efficiencies.
In all cases, AMIII's have the ultimate responsibility for their clients; therefore, they must have strong analytical skills in order to create a pricing strategy that not only utilizes the Pricing Model but can illustrate the significance of the proposed pricing on their customer’s business. In order to accomplish this task, they must be creative and also utilize exceptional written and oral communication skills, have strong interpersonal skills, be a solid presenter, be well organized, have strong negotiation skills, understand the importance of contract language, be knowledgeable regarding the products and services offered by Commerce Bank, understand the healthcare revenue cycle business, industry rules and regulations, working knowledge of core processing systems and competitive products, program knowledge and healthcare financing product attributes.
The AMIII will work with the Sales and Implementation teams to transition new accounts as they are added to their respective portfolios. The primary contacts within these accounts may include Treasurers, CFO’s, CEO’s, Revenue Cycle Managers, Patient Financial Services and Patient Accounts. The complexity and size of the business or programs will vary depending upon the level of the position and the individual’s experience and skill set to handle. As stated earlier, the Account Managers are responsible for the development of their own contract renewal pricing, contract negotiations and the development of an implementation and expansion plans.
Each individual will be responsible for developing annual account plans and meeting their commitments in their plans as it relates to the number of executive meetings, business review appointments, contract renewals, and new product and service offerings, growth and service expansion opportunities identified in order to achieve their annual profit, cross-sell and referral goals.
Work Hours: Monday through Friday 8-5 with 50% travel required.
Education/Experience Requirements
• College degree with a preferred emphasis in business administration, accounting or finance, and a banking curriculum.
• 3-5 years healthcare or revenue cycle experience in the areas of sales or portfolio management
• 4 years Microsoft Office experience (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• 4 years business to business sales or support experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Excellent presentation skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Proven sales skills
Preferred Qualifications
• Healthcare revenue cycle knowledge
• PC proficiency and experience with Salesforce.com
• Previous accounting, marketing or software sales experience
• Contract negotiation experience
• General knowledge of commercial or consumer credit
