The Account Manager I works directly with commercial card clients to provide oversight and support of AP card programs and Purchasing card programs that spend a targeted $3 million or less per year. As these accounts are under contract, contract management, negotiation and pricing becomes a critical aspect of account retention and profitability. The focus of this role is on building relationships, strategic growth of existing card programs, operational quality, problem resolution, productivity, and customer satisfaction. The Account Manager I must have strong oral and written communication skills, project management focus, be detail oriented, and able to maintain an ongoing ability to successfully prioritize and multi-task when faced with a large portfolio of business.
Primary activities of this role includes, but is not limited to:
• Program expansion
• Credit extention and credit limit management
• Vendor management - receive and format new vendor lists, generate and disperse weekly enrollment reports, log management, file failures, vendor issue resolution
• Software additions and changes
• Training - ongoing client training and and product navigation assistance
• Salesforce - data entry, validation, uploading of proper documentation, revenue share validation and reporting
• Documentation changes including contract renewals, resolutions and delegation updates
• Billing and reconciliation issues
• Company / program restructure
• Annual credit review and financial statement collection
• Communication - ensure all internal teams, including commercial bankers, are aware of client activities, needs and current project status
• RFP - assist in the completion of responses for current clients in assigned portfolio
• Cross selling - responsible for identifying cross selling opportunities and referrals, i.e. merchant referrals, HSF referrals, AP Automation, Supply Chain Financing
Work Hours:
Monday -Friday 8:00am-5:00pm with 10% travel required
This role may require some travel to conduct in person client meetings.
Education/Experience Requirements
• Bachelor degree or equivalent experience in related field
• 2 Years experience (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• 2 Years business to business or support experience
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Superior presentation skills
• Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and appearance
• Proven Customer Service skills
Preferred Qualifications
• PC exposure and experience in MS Office
• Previous accounting, marketing or software sales experience
• General knowledge of commercial or consumer credit
