AXA Equitable Life Insurance Co. seeks a Senior Manager, Programmer Analyst for its Syracuse, NY location.
Duties: Analyze, design and implement software systems based on business requirements. Participate in design or coding of applications to meet business requirements using multiple interfaces for high performance and reliability needs as approved by Technical Architecture team. Utilize Object Oriented Design (OOD) and Domain Driven Design (DDD) methodologies to abstract domain concepts and create rich model to solve complex domain problems. Use UML tools to document design. Contribute to high level technical design (HLD) based on Functional Specifications and create Low Level Design (LLD) specifications. Use Java, J2EE, JSP, Microservices, MongoDB, AngularJS, Azure Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes, JSTL, Spring Framework, XML, JasperReports, Javascript, JQuery, Weblogic, Websphere Portal, SQL Server DB and Oracle, Oracle 10g, Linux, HTML 5, Maven, AJAX, WebServices and Content Management Tools to achieve desired functionality in software systems solutions development projects for life insurance and annuities products. Work with programmer analysts to develop answers to ad-hoc technical problems and ensure LLD adheres to Standards, Best Practices, Security Guidebook and Reference Architecture. Analyze results with QA to ensure identified defects are documented, and remediated. Conduct source code review to identify source code violations like Duplicate Code, Large Class and Long Method. Recommend refactoring techniques to improve code quality. Review software security analysis using SQL Injection, Cross-site scripting. Report and recommend remediation to code for compliance with corporate security standards and industry best practice. Responsible for Service Level management of availability, system capacity and performance. Perform hardware sizing assessments for new implementations. Document Disaster Recovery and implementation requirements, policies and procedures to be implemented. Serve as a Subject Matter Expert for the software product, tools, and techniques utilized.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements: Requires a Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering or related field and five (5) years of progressive, post-Baccalaureate experience as an Analyst, Developer or related IT position using Java, J2EE, JSP. Four (4) years of experience must include: Microservices, MongoDB; Oracle DB; Azure Cloud, Docker, Kubernetes; HTML, Maven; and AngularJS. Direct applicants only.
