Position Description
The Senior Pricing Analyst will compile and review internal and external data and leverage optimization tools to make informed pricing recommendations for the U.S. automotive finance operation. This individual will work closely with business operations and functional partners to confirm pricing strategies and determine optimal prices in order to achieve strategic objectives. Considered analytical or procedural experts representing a unit or team on cross-function process or project deliverables.
Job Responsibilities
• Analyze core retail granular pricing programs to ensure profitability objectives are met
• Develop alert mechanisms to effectively monitor retail granular pricing cells
• Leverage analysis of large data sets in developing business pricing strategies to support revenue projections
• Work with functional partners to find opportunities to grow business and maximize profitability
• Understand competitive environment and other drivers of economics to optimize returns
• Prepare and present on-going reporting, pricing analysis and recommendations to senior leadership
• Utilize the SAS platform for analysis, and reporting
• Assisting with the creation, maintenance and scheduling of SAS programs that create the datasets used in reporting or analysis
Qualifications
• HS diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in related field strongly preferred. 5 + years in customer service or financial services industry is needed. At least 2 years leadership experience preferred.
• Ability to provide advice/direction in primary areas of expertise
• Leveraging technical expertise and relationships to contribute to strategy and drive business results
• Contribute to and manage projects
• Knowledge of general financial concepts -- P-L calculations, amortization schedules, basic understanding of interest rates, pro-forma models
• Ability to translate modeling/analysis results into business recommendations
