Position Summary:
Kemper is growing and seeking Finance graduates to work at our office in downtown Chicago. This full-time position works as part of a Financial Analysis team to compile, model and analyze financial data required to support the Kemper Life & Health organizations. In this role you will create reports and presentations that translate life and health insurance data into meaningful information to facilitate tactical and strategic decision-making.
Position Responsibilities:
• Construct and maintain structured financial and operational analysis models as tools to aid in data analysis. Prepare data that can be used for upper level reports and presentations.
• Aggregate and organize financial data from multiple platforms and systems and suggest procedural changes to increase the accuracy, effectiveness, and efficiency of models and reports used or produced by the team.
• Document work processes, including data sources and definitions. Ensure data accuracy.
• Frequently interact and coordinate with other departments to address business issues and to meet organizational objectives.
• Support the development of analysis of company financial performance, including both revenue and expenses. Interpret data and identify trends to help leadership understand drivers of results, make decisions, and develop strategy.
Position Qualifications:
• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance or equivalent preferred.
• 0-1 years of corporate finance or analysis experience.
• Internship or other work experience in corporate finance or analysis preferred.
• Excel and PowerPoint skills required.
• Able to deliver accurate work products that meet deadlines.
• Good analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic skills in MS Access or Tableau a plus but not required.
