Job Description
We’re looking for a designer to be part of our Creative Team. This team routinely works with business partners within the firm on projects that spread across print, web, brand identity and interactive, for screens, devices, and event spaces. The candidate we’re looking for has both print and digital experience. A creative thinker and a digital native who possesses a passion for designing contemporary, unique, thoughtful work, with a finger on the pulse of current and upcoming design trends, is the right person for this role.
Here’s what we’re looking for:
• Passion for visual design in all its forms.
• Digital Mindset: Although your main focus is designing for print, you are mentally coded to work in a digital environment and know how to solve problems, gain new skills, remain current and generate ideas through digital means. You can be given a program and be able to operate within it in a day.
• Team skills: You work best in a participatory, collaborative, team-based environment.
• Communication skills: You have strong verbal, written, and visual presentation skills.
• Comfort throughout all phases of a project, from translating verbal ideas into visual concepts, through design development and refinement, to creating production-ready artwork.
• An ability to transform strategic direction into high quality design, not just follow a style guide.
• Ability to think strategically and translate brand and thought leadership / content into visual systems that effectively communicate.
• A lean approach to design processes for digital, print, and motion.
• Prototyping skills: You’re not afraid to try something and then have to come up with a different idea if the first one doesn’t stick.
• Someone who is comfortable evolving with the role over time.
• Someone who can shift mindset between projects quickly and seamlessly.
Qualifications
• Conceptualization and design of print and web projects
• Work on a variety of projects that integrate print and digital.
• Collaborate with designers with different backgrounds.
• Create sacrificial concepts to move the project forward, but also create hi-fidelity, production level work for both print and screen.
• Be an advocate of exceptional visual design.
• Help clients empathize with users by creating deliverables that tell a compelling story.
Relevant Experience:
• Financial Industry experience preferred
• 3-5 years graphic design experience across a variety of media (print and digital).
• Strong data visualization skills – experience creating infographics.
