Is responsible for collaborating with Enterprise Coaches to design a combined strategy for the organizational adoption of Agile across teams/functions/departments and the organization. This leader assisted by coaches/resources embedded in new/pilot and existing teams is responsible for guiding teams into the Agile methodology, catalyzing organizational growth by adapting Safe Agile principles best practices for the company and ensuring ability to repeat success as this methodology is rolled out further in the organization. They provide hands-on support to all employees, collaborating with people across widely varying levels and roles, leading teams toward further understanding and adoption of Agile as well as overall company growth and improvement.
Essential Job Functions:
• Collaborate on the evolution of the Agile transformation roadmap and own driving activities across the organization.
• Collaborate and engage a myriad of teams such as training, change management, marketing etc to assist with executing the roadmap.
• Drive continuous improvement and learning from the Agile coaches across the organization increasing the effectiveness of the application of Agile across the enterprise.
• Identify organizational impediments to successful Agile execution/adoption and work cross functionally to effectively resolve them.
• Collaborate with existing Agile teams to gather best practices and ensure these are deployed into new teams entering Agile.
• Provide thought leadership ensure Agile culture is consistent and wide spread
• Provide guidance at the individual, team and organizational levels to ensure consistency adoption and execution of Agile practices.
• Implement and provide oversight of Agile practices, processes, tools and metrics/KPI to drive success and improvement.
• Supports development and monitoring of Agile adoption/maturity metrics to aid in accelerating overall Agile transformation efforts and to gauge the maturity progress of new and existing teams.
• Mentor Agile delivery teams, their coaches, stakeholders and leaders to help them adopt the mindset and practices needed to transform the organization.
• Provide mentoring and education to senior management in order to leverage Agile as a strategic asset of culture change and business value generation.
• Leverage Agile strategies to enable Agile transformation of a program or portfolio while implementing best practices across the enterprise.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience
• 15 or more years of experience in Information Technology environment
• Seven or more years of experience with Agile frameworks (Scrum, SAFe) and support tools
• Five or more years of experience within an Agile solution environment working on large scale, multiple scrum team
• Three or more years of experience leading Agile transformation
• Agile or Professional Coaching certification, or equivalent work experience
Preferred Skills/Experience
• At least 3 years of experience leading Agile transformation
• Experience communicating with leadership (lead through influence)
• Strong facilitation or training experience.
• Safe Program Consultant certification (SPC)
• Working experience in formal process improvement frameworks (Lean, Six Sigma).
• Working knowledge of system development lifecycle (SDLC) and process change/improvement.
