Job Description:
At Regions, the Programmer Analyst analyzes and evaluates existing and proposed systems ad works from specifications to develop or modify complex software programming applications.
Primary Responsibilities
• Primarily develops, tests, debugs, and documents
• Supports multiple applications
• Involved directly with business segments to translate business requirements into functional requirements
• Works independently to come up with new solutions/ideas
• Understands business processes and Regions structure
• Generally works under deadlines
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Four years business experience

Capital Markets Programmer/Analyst
Regions Bank is seeking a Programmer/Analyst to join the Capital Markets Technology team and provide dedicated support to the Capital Markets trading business and operations. The Programmer/Analyst is responsible for delivering and supporting the technology necessary to meet the objectives and day-to-day needs of the business. The ideal candidate has a can-do attitude, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and enjoys delivering high quality technology solutions and best-in-class support.
Responsibilities
• Build and support applications required for Capital Markets trading platforms, post-trade processing, and reporting.
• Contribute to the core trading platform through improvements to integration, data and reporting, and application performance and reliability.
• Support analysis, design, and implementation of new applications and technologies necessary to support the sales, trading and operations teams.
• Provide first-level Production support for applications; coordinate troubleshooting of all issues; facilitate the root cause analysis and determination; plan and implement mitigants/fixes.
• Identify and drive methodologies and processes that support recommended standards of production stability. Identify and manage key targeted areas for improvement.
• Manage deployments for all Capital Markets trading applications. Implement automated testing and deployments for internal and external software.
• Aggregate and manage all documentation necessary to support the applications.
• Oversee disaster recovery preparation for all required systems.
• Manage all exception requests, vulnerabilities, and other related issues to insure compliance with Technology & Information Security standards.
• Collaborate with the business to identify, evaluate and pursue new technologies that may add value to the business.
Qualifications
• Experienced working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team environment. Must be organized and capable of independently managing multiple deliverables and deadlines. Must be capable of concurrently working across multiple unrelated projects and assignments.
• Minimum of 3 years of development experience required with the .NET framework, Visual Studio, C#, Web APIs, and ASP.NET. Experience using Microsoft SQL Server (or Oracle) and T-SQL.
• Knowledge of the financial markets, specifically interest rates, FX, commodities and credit.
• Experience supporting WallStreet Systems (FX) or Calypso or other similar derivatives trade management systems.
• Has been on the front lines of production outages, working to resolve the outage, analyzing the root-cause of the problem, and providing long-term resolutions.
• Experience supporting SaaS, ASP, vendor-hosted cloud applications and systems.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and conceptual skills; very organized with attention to detail; can successfully manage tight timeframes and deadlines; and known for quality of work.
• Experience designing and developing small to medium-sized software applications. Comfortable being solely responsible for the success of software development projects.
• Bachelors or graduate degree in computer science, information systems, related technology or engineering field, or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in basic Microsoft Office applications, e.g. Access, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Preferences
• Experience working in the financial services industry.
• Experience supporting a Treasury, Treasury Operations, or Capital Markets organization and knowledge of conventional Capital Markets Front Office, Middle Office, Back Office and Risk roles and responsibilities.
• Experience supporting financial applications using SWIFT and FIX Messaging.
• Experience using SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) and has successfully applied these tools in the design and implementation of projects and systems.
• Experience working in an Agile environment using Scaled Agile (SAFe) principles.
