Job Description
Everest Global Services, Inc., a member of the Everest Re Group, Ltd, is currently seeking an experienced Sr. Human Resources Business Partner with approximately 10+ years of experience to support our Liberty Corner, NJ based Technology Segment. This position will report into the Director of Human Resources. This position requires a direct, hands-on approach in partnering with the business on the following:
• Performance Management/Employee Relations – Active involvement in investigating issues, facilitating communication between employees and management. Provide advice and counsel by guiding managers and employees on problem solving, improving communication, and resolving conflict. Assist managers in developing an understanding of good HR practice and leadership.
• Organizational Development – Consult with management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters. Determine measures required to enhance employee job performance, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Change Management – Support various change management initiatives including identifying communication strategies, helping define/establish culture as well as methods of adapting to change, work closely with management to evaluate talent in roles where responsibilities and expectations are changing, partner closely with the business on organizational or business process changes, act as coach for senior leaders and executives in helping them facilitate change effectively, and provide direct support to managers and supervisors as they help their direct reports through transitions.
• Compensation/Employment Actions – Work closely with the business on employment actions (transfers, separations, interim actions, compensation recommendations etc.) to ensure they are reasonable/fair.
• Talent Management – Work closely with our TD team as needed on current talent development/succession planning initiatives impacting the Technology Business Segment.
• Talent Acquisition – Work closely with TA team as needed on recruiting strategy for business areas, including identifying talent gaps, targeting recruiting needs and participating in panel interviews.
• Business Initiatives – Partner with the business on strategies/goals impacting people or processes.
• HR Projects – Incumbent may have direct involvement in various Corporate-wide initiatives including our Annual Compensation Process, HRIS Upgrades/Integrations, Training Initiatives etc.
• Policy Management - Provides a broad range of consultative services to all levels of employees regarding policies and procedures.
Other desirable attributes:
• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree and 10+ years of progressive experience in HR.
• Experience supporting a Technology Segment a plus but not required.
• Ideal candidate will be able to join the team and hit the ground running. This role is an independent contributor role and requires hands on involvement and execution of HR business support.
• Can quickly establish credibility and respect and build strong working relationships with department managers. Demonstrable maturity and professionalism.
• Able to work within a fast paced environment with tight deadlines, comfortable with ambiguity, and be adaptable to changing conditions.
• Ability to generate effective and pragmatic solutions to new situations and problems as they are presented.
• The ability to inspire confidence in Senior Management through timely, thorough and accurate delivery of information, and creative solutions that address business needs.
• A solid understanding of how people go through a change and the change process
• Experience and knowledge of change management principles, methodologies and tools beneficial
• Exceptional listening skills, and both written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to influence others and move toward a common vision or goal
• Flexible and adaptable; able to work in ambiguous situations
• Able to work effectively at all levels in an organization
• Must be a team player and able to work collaboratively with and through others
• Acute business acumen and understanding of organizational issues and challenges
• Experience with large-scale organizational change efforts is beneficial
• Incumbent should be analytical, and technologically savvy, with strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and should have the ability to grasp new applications quickly. Experience with Access, Qlikview, Workforce Now a plus.
