Job Description:
At Regions, the Capital Markets Operational Risk Analyst is responsible for identifying, measuring, controlling and monitoring the firm's operational risk for the Capital Markets department.
This individual will be part of a team concerned with limiting risk exposure due to losses resulting from human error, transaction, process failures, external events, threats to information systems, data integrity, and fraudulent activities. The individual will be responsible for assisting group heads in maintaining policies and procedures, and producing monthly reports detailing key risk indicators and key performance indicators (KRI”s and KPI’s).
• Associate will undertake assessments of business unit exposures, identifying risks, evaluating their potential impact and reviewing the strengths and weaknesses of the firm's existing controls. There will be regular communication with audit and compliance groups to update and report progress to alleviate audit or compliance findings.
• Once evaluations are complete, as well as necessary actions have been taken, staff will continue to monitor control compliance and risk environment to ensure that exposures are kept at acceptable levels.
This position is exempt from timekeeping requirements under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is not eligible for overtime pay.
Requirements
• 3 years experience
• Bachelors degree
Preferred
• Strong MS PowerPoint and Excel skills
• Strong interpersonal skills. Candidate will have to collect data monthly from busy individuals and tenacity is required.
