As the Project Analyst, you will provide leadership and support to project teams by improving team member productivity, contributions and accomplishments to project objectives. You will collaborate to develop creative solutions for challenges. In this key role, you will work closely with a project manager to plan, document, and test projects. This role also requires working with technical applications that interface with systems throughout the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Lead development team efforts for technical projects as assigned.
• Schedule, facilitate and document project meetings.
• Work closely with internal groups and external vendors to ensure project completion.
• Facilitate the completion, approval, and storage of project artifacts (including writing requirement, design, and other documents).
• Supply information used in building reports, communicating project status, risks, issues, and upcoming objectives.
• Collaborate with team members to develop and execute mitigation plans.
• Ensure compliance with program governance standards.
• Perform duties with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Project Management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project management and SDLC methodology, processes, tools, scope management, financial tracking, scheduling and resource management.
• Ability to craft, understand, and contribute to Microsoft Project plans.
• Proven interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate priorities and resolve conflicts among teams.
• Strong leadership and effective interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) interacting with all levels of the organization.
• Effective time management skills, able to manage competing priorities and work in a team environment.
• Technical awareness regarding Mainframe and distributed systems and development platforms.
• Strong proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED:
• MBA or advance degree in related field.
• Project management experience in the financial services and/or banking industry.
• Working knowledge of IBM Rational or equivalent (i.e. JIRA, Quality Center, etc.).
• Process improvement mindset.
• PMP, CSM, ITIL and/or Lean certification.
