Position Summary
TCF Inventory Finance (TCFIF) has a great opportunity for a Customer Information Data Analyst within the Customer Value and Solutions (CV&S) team. The CV&S team specializes in data analytics and is tasked with working on high impact projects for the Senior Executive team at TCFIF. Responsibilities include analytic and reporting execution including conception, opportunity identification and hypothesis formation. The team focuses on the development and implementation of advanced data analytics and dashboards, to continuously monitor the infrastructure and to enhance current practices, enabling the organization to focus time and resources on areas of high risk, gain efficiency through automation of processes and increase performance.
Major Areas of Accountability
50% Data Analytics:
• Skilled at utilizing data visualization platforms to organize and present meaningful interpretations, comparative analysis, dashboards and reporting.
• Experience with the design and implementation of quantitative and qualitative models; working with large volumes of data.
• Ability to perform data mining and analysis to support ongoing business monitoring and risk assessments of internal and external data to recognize patterns, trends and anomalies.
• Proficiency in using data analytics tools to build statistical models, implement predictive analytics and perform queries and analyses. Utilizing data analysis by leveraging various statistical techniques, and predictive modeling to drive and identify indicators of risk.
25% Daily Operations:
• Development and execution of communication plans surrounding CV&S initiatives
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Identify any errors in data sets and determine the best course of action to correct the data.
• Analyze and problem-solve issues that occur during the project relative to the data.
25% Data Capture:
• In collaboration with others, assist in the development of determining appropriate customer financial metrics to be monitored
• Perform data collection, either manually or using technology, when needed or required
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree with preference in Business, Mathematics, Statistics, Accounting, Finance and/or related fields
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in team environment
• Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize initiatives to meet
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to present complex and sensitive issues to all levels of senior management.
• Ability to think in a creative and innovative manner and continually evolve with changing business needs and conditions.
• Excellent organizational skills and proven ability to effectively prioritize initiatives to meet expectations, while working on concurrent project requests
• Anticipation, identification, and escalation of issues impacting delivery timelines and budget.
• Superior Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, Access & PowerPoint and ability to learn software packages quickly.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA, Master’s degree or other relevant industry certifications preferred
