Position Description Overview
The Corporate Accounting Manager role is responsible for debt, derivatives, sales & use tax, property tax, prepaid insurance, Employee Hardship Fund, including yearly tax return, legal reserves, investments, restructuring/exit liabilities and other miscellaneous balance sheet accounts. This role will also assist in the oversight of the statutory account working files and final statutory financial statements for fifteen holding companies. The position will also have oversight of the annual tax package project and work closely with the shared services team in Thane to accomplish the tasks listed above.
Job Responsibilities
• Review journal entries and reconciliations to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Review statutory account working files to ensure timely filings. Assist with liquidation of entities/restructuring. Prepares debt and derivative footnote for the 10Q/10K. Prepares monthly variance analysis for the corporate balance sheet. Prepares the monthly interest reasonableness test. Liaison with E&Y on any audit questions related to areas of ownership. Leads monthly/quarterly meetings with Tax/Finance/Legal to discuss changes to reserves. Identifies key risks and opportunities and works cross functionally to provide solutions that drive process improvements and strengthen the control environment. Provides oversight to ensure systems, processes and internal controls are consistently applied. Special projects as assigned.
Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree Minimum 10 years relevant financial experience, including experience at a fast-paced, multi-national company CPA preferred. Experience with Oracle, Hyperion & Blackline is a plus Intermediate to advanced MS Excel skills Ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively in a fast paced environment, while exhibiting exceptional attention to detail and continuously driving process improvements Ability to work independently Excellent written and verbal communication skills
