Sr. Group Manager, Third Party Governance

The Third Party Governance (TPG) Director of Third Party Quality Assurance manages a team that is responsible for Third Party Governance assessments, QA/QC checks, and onsite vendor reviews. The Director would need to build the team by hiring high performing staff. The job is a highly visible role and the Director will need to work closely with senior executives across the company.
Primary Responsibilities Include: 1.) Third Party Assessments:
• Standardize the third party assessment testing methodology, timelines, and SLAs
• Manage the third party assessments: meet and exceed the SLAs
• Create and manage an evergreen process to keep the testing methodology consistent with changing policies and procedures
• Work with technology and data teams to create consistent, reliable, scalable, and auditable reports
2.) QA/QC checks:
• Create a QA/QC methodology that meets and exceeds the regulatory and audit requirements
• Perform QA/QC checks of the entire Third Party Governance process
3.) Onsite vendor reviews:
• Manage the consultants, who perform the onsite vendor reviews
• Review results with stakeholders and take necessary actions
4.) Staff Development:
• Build the team by hiring high performing staff
• Direct, motivate, and develop staff and junior managers
• Responsible for employee satisfaction and performance management of the team
5.) Communications:
• Proactively communicate the third party assessment results to vendor champions
• Develop close relationships with key stakeholders across the company and keep them informed of emerging trends
The Ideal candidate will be an ambitious, energetic, go-getter, who welcomes challenges and is not afraid of hard work and long hours (when needed) and views this role as a proving ground for bigger opportunities.
Qualifications
• 12-15 years of overall experience is needed
• 3-5 years of experience managing teams, with a track record of promoting team members is needed
• 3-5 years of experience in Third Party Governance, Procurement, Compliance, Legal, Audit, or Risk areas is needed
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and work experience is required
• MBA from a top institute is preferred, but not required
• Management consulting experience is preferred, but not required
• Operational experience is preferred, but not required
• Project management experience is preferred, but not required
• Process optimization experience is preferred, but not required
• Technology experience is preferred, but not required
• Military experience is preferred, but not required
