Vice President, Broker Relations
To increase revenues overall through a strategic broker strategy focused exclusively on new customer acquisition. The position will include the development of new business objectives, management of existing broker relationships, additional and oversight of new brokerage relationships and the development of a staff capable of achieving these objectives. The position calls for the need to instill our philosophy and mission statement to the entire staff.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Manages all broker units with the purpose to achieve the profit objectives of the company through the following duties:
• Creates, designs, leads and monitors plans to retain, grow and expand our broker footprint.
• Drives high marketplace awareness of the York family of brands through the broker community.
• Builds and maintains healthy relationships with brokers that generates new customer acquisition opportunities for York.
• Ensures broad connectivity points exist between York and the broker community.
• Provides regular updates on the health of our broker relationships.
• Ensures the broader broker community is educated on all things York.
• Influences York’s insurance placement on an as needed basis.
• Provides the leadership on new business with structure of a marketing plan and actively participating in the marketing activity.
• Represents the company at industry meetings, conventions and seminars.
• Participates in presentations to clients and service meetings.
• Develops the unit’s financial plans, expense budget, annual objectives and operational strategy. Manages activity of the brokerage unit in accordance with the operational plan, evaluating and monitoring results and developing alternative strategies as necessary.
• Assist in the development of, implement and monitor production goals of the unit.
• Manages a professional production and servicing staff. Controls salary administration program and provides training in accordance with corporate policy. Development of all professional staff. Complete performance appraisals on direct reports and oversees all performance appraisals.
• Manages the servicing of existing accounts in support of the company’s commitment to superior service.
• Responsible for compliance and adherence to corporate and divisional guidelines.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Industry Recognized Professional Designations
EXPERIENCE:
• 10 to 15 years claims adjusting experience preferred
• Understanding of Risk Management loss analysis and risk financing
• Proven record of accomplishment of customer service
• Prior client management within insurance industry
