Position Description
Reporting to the Leader of Asset Management Analytics and Strategy, this position's primary responsibilities will include leading the overall asset management strategy development and performance analysis to optimize portfolio results. This individual will be leading teams focused on account management strategies supporting overall asset performance, from contact strategies and channels including leading digital capabilities, early and late stage collections strategy, loss mitigation and recovery strategies and special servicing activities.
The ideal candidate must be passionate about delivering results, must be an innovative and strategic thinker, willing to challenge status quo, can learn quickly, is self-motivated, detail oriented, and can sift through voluminous amounts of information to pinpoint which items are relevant to understanding Business results. They will be able to apply knowledge of business and balanced judgment in interpretation of data (analytics), and able to prioritize needed changes based on potential impact to portfolio performance. The position will lead multiple teams and be highly visible across the servicing organization leadership and support partners such as finance, compliance, legal and technology.
Job Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
• Create/Enhance/Own the vision for Ally Auto's Asset Management Strategy, and drive the roadmap for the team, working with key stakeholders
• Lead multiple teams focused on improving portfolio performance by changing treatment strategies, champion the change across the organization
• Manage the priorities using sound control processes (daily/weekly/monthly) to effectively identify, assess and manage risk
• Collaboratively work with matrix & vendor partners to ensure alignment with Ally's strategic imperatives
• Influence the roadmap and priorities of other partner groups by proactive engagement on topics related to asset management strategy
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Operations Research, Statistics, Economics or a similar discipline with quantitative focus, master's degree preferred
• Significant experience (7+ years) and knowledge of consumer financing industry (e.g. auto, card, mortgage etc.)
• 5+ years of experience in a similar role focused on treatment strategies with a champion/challenger (test/control) framework from the design stage to the implementation/monitoring stage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to effectively present proposals and vision to executive leadership (including C-level)
• Experience working with (and ability to influence) matrix partners that impact change capability, such as IT, Compliance, Legal, Vendor Management and Operations
• Candidate should possess outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills; should be a critical thinker with strong attention to details
Preferred:
• Advanced knowledge of statistics and quantitative models
• Experience with segmentation software such as Model builder, SAS Miner, Knowledge Seeker or R
• Experience in automotive servicing industry
