Responsible for identifying, developing and selling: Retirement Health Savings opportunities; EIP; DB/DC; and small plan sales/consolidations to the prospect base within a defined geographic territory. Develop strong professional relationships with Institutional Sales, Field Sales and headquarters personnel. Significant travel within the assigned territory is required.
Essential functions for this role include:
• Exceed sales goal by conducting prospect appointments and finals presentations
• Develop and actively manage a full sales pipeline by maximizing the opportunity afforded within each channel (consultants, conferences, prospect base, referrals from RPSs, etc.)
• Develop and implement territory-specific marketing strategies
• Develop and utilize a business plan which details activities to be followed during the year in order to achieve the desired goal
• Maintain and expand accurate and up to date records by way of the ACT contact management system
• Regularly attend and participate in internal business partner meetings/conference calls to maintain and further develop strong relationships including territory meetings
Requirements
If you have the following credentials, we encourage you to apply:
• BA/BS or equivalent experience
• 5-7 years of experience; 5 years of financial services sales experience, proven track record demonstrating the ability to prospect and close business in a complex sales environment.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Consistent track record of success in acquiring new business
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Financial services sales experience
• Public Sector experience preferred
• Significant knowledge of investment products preferred
