Key responsibilities include:
• Balance Sheet reconciliations including Accounts Receviable, Accounts Payable and Inventory accounts. Analyze and research unreconciled items. Make recommendations for improvements and make appropriate corrections.
• Recording, analyzing, and reporting financial information. Making appropriate inquiries of operations to obtain a broad understanding of the nature of the financial activity.
• Actively participating with other internal departments to ensure that accounting issues are addressed in a timely manner.
• Preparing various accounting entries and reports monthly
The ideal candidate will have:
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Accounting accompanied by two (2) to three (3) years accounting experience in a corporate accounting environment, or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision within stringent deadlines while applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
• Proficiency in the use of PC worksheet applications, word document applications and database related programs, e.g., Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Crystal Reports, and SQL.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, including the ability to effectively interact with all levels of management within the organization.
• Demonstrates accurate numerical ability and high-attention to detail.
