Position Overview:
• MSCI ESG Research is seeking to expand its ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance) client coverage team and is looking for a suitable candidate to join our New York or Boston office.
Scope of Responsibility:
• Assist in managing a portfolio of primarily asset manager clients focused in the Fixed income space
• Understanding of MSCI fixed income coverage across all ESG products
• Acute awareness of our data delivery processes
• Help to manage client inquiry and issue resolution process using SalesForce.com and other internal tools
• Monitor and ensure client satisfaction
• Support other Consultant and Sales staff with client meetings, calls and inquiries
• Provide subject matter expertise in the area of fixed income
• Perform frequent testing of new product features relevant to the expansion of our products for fixed income investors
• Continually assess target market and work with product and client interfacing teams to ensure company is offering relevant services
• Communicate market requirements and emerging trends in fixed income amongst clients to ESG Research business leaders
• Be the primary liaison between our internal operations and technology teams on fixed income ongoing client inquiries and implementation of new clients, including database structure and security interactions
Specific Knowledge and skills:
• Robust understanding of the investment process specifically as it pertains to the fixed income asset class
• Familiarity with Corporate Credit, High Yield research process a benefit, previous work experience within the realm of fixed income a must
Desired Experience &
• Good understanding of ESG issues & market, financial services and how ESG factors impact the investment process
• Background on third party platforms that users of Fixed Income utilize most frequently (Aladdin, Bloomberg/BBG PORT)
• Knowledge of fixed income securities and issuer subsidiary mapping structures
• Minimum 5 years of experience, preferably in a client facing or fixed income focused position
• Excellent communication skills
• A team player able to effectively manage the expectations of a diverse and demanding client base
• Absolute personal and business integrity
Desired Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent experience, advanced degree or CFA highly regarded
