Fiserv’s Enterprise Technology Group (ETG) has a new and exciting PMO Manager opportunity where you’ll lead our training and process team to deliver a best in class project and program framework.
What does a great PMO Manager do?
• Responsible for establishing, refining and enforcing governance processes, policies and reporting related to governance and oversight of the ETG portfolio of projects/programs
• Optimize core business processes, introduce innovative ideas, and foster operational excellence across the organization.
• Lead the PMO steering committee responsible for cross-collaboration and alignment of standards and frameworks across ETG. Includes partnering with other key stakeholders such as engineering, ops readiness, and data center resources to ensure alignment with changes to the PMO standards.
• Develops annual ETG PMO strategy and roadmap for PMO development and maturity for all ETG PMOs, including Professional Services, PA&E, Corporate IT, DCO and STO
• Oversight of training for new and existing PMO resources on project quality methodology, process and tools
• Oversight of training for ITIL processes, including ServicePoint and other ETG training requests as needed
• Ensure alignment standards for project, program and portfolio management frameworks
• Mentors and coaches project directors on quality compliance
• Responsible for a knowledge repository of best in class documents and lessons learned
• Recommends process enhancements to improve the overall project management organizational maturity.
• Enhances project delivery processes to maintain alignment with changing business needs
• Responsible for enhancing the project delivery processes to ensure compliance with the ETG processes
• Establishes mechanisms to ensure on-going quality control of projects
• Collaborates and serves as liaison across multiple ETG and Fiserv organizations within the organization for policy development
• Responsible for enhancing and maintaining project templates and other shared documents
• Leads efforts to enhance the reporting capabilities in project delivery processes for improved metrics, efficient reporting
Required Qualifications:
• High School/GED diploma and 9+ years of relevant work experience
• 2+ years in a direct staff management role
• 7+ years of previous project management, program management and/or consulting experience
• Ability to travel up to 15%
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor's of Science in Information Technology, Management Information or related disciple
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
• Six Sigma Yellow or Green Belt Certification
• Program or Portfolio Management certification
• Extensive experience in meeting planning, facilitation and public speaking
• Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries desired
• Expert understanding of the Project, Program and Portfolio Management processes and methodologies
• Demonstrates the ability to influence leaders and cross functional peers
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Ability to handle conflict management
• Ability to handle multiple-tasks and meet deadlines
• Knowledge of project management tools such as PPM/Clarity
• Ability to work efficiently and productively with minimal direction or guidance
• Capable of exercising discretion and independent judgment
• MS Office skills especially Word, Visio, MS-Project and Excel
