As a Client Specialist you will:
Support three advisors alongside our Client Specialist. Responsibilities include client service, marketing, maintain the functions of a Higher Standard of Care process, business development support and operational tasks. This role requires outstanding communication skills.
Client Service
• Clients come first - must be able to actively listen and problem solve.
• Responsible for client onboarding coordination, which includes managing prospect pipeline, assisting with proposal generation, preparing new account paperwork, opening accounts, transitioning new assets to Baird and establishing an ongoing communication/client service plan.
• Answer incoming phone calls and handle appropriately.
• Manage advisors calendar, schedule client appointments and conduct confirmation calls
• Help clients navigate throughout Baird online and problem solve.
• Provide support for client and prospect meetings.
• Ability to communicate progress updates to clients as needed.
• Maintain CRM (Client Relationship Management) system.
• Provide ‘family office’ type service for clients
Marketing
• Ongoing maintenance and management of social media strategy including website, Linkedin, etc.
• Maintain prospecting material/book of services offered & incorporate updates to all materials.
• Implement client birthday and life event acknowledgements via email.
• Leverage CRM to manage client relationships through mailings, reporting, email tracking, etc.
Business Development
• On board new clients by providing a seamless transition experience.
• Coordinate life insurance, long-term care and annuity opportunities - work with clients and insurance partners to facilitate process.
• Work to generate new business through various techniques, i.e. developing systems for cross referencing and/or cross-selling and creating speaking engagements for the advisors.
Operations
• Initiate and complete all transactions required to fully service client accounts (i.e. paperwork, correspondence, client request fulfillment and special projects).
• Ensure compliance with Baird policies regarding correspondence, trade policies, seminars and marketing.
• Maintain primary electronic client files with ability to retrieve the information quickly. This includes maintaining orderly paper files.
• If registered, may enter security orders including stocks, bonds, fixed income, options, annuities and other investments.

What we look for:
• Bachelor’s degree or at least 3-5 years of industry experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft office suite & ability to learn & effectively navigate Baird’s PWM technology platforms.
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills; ability to adeptly exchange ideas & information. Good analytical & some math skills.
• Strong organizational skills- ability to prioritize workflow in order to achieve specific goals in a timely manner.
• Must be reliable, professional, high energy and have a strong work ethic.
• Must be detail oriented with emphasis on accuracy.
• Licensed or ability to obtain licenses (Series 7 & 66) within 1 year.
