Account Services Manager
This position is responsible for managing and driving team performance against retention and growth targets, while ensuring a positive team environment through strong leadership. This role is responsible for measuring and communicating progress against monthly targets through accurate and timely reporting/forecasting. The manager will be responsible for the growth, training and development of highly motivated sales team members.
Responsibilities
• The primary responsibility is to coach, develop and support members of the Account Services team so they can meet their retention and new business sales objectives while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
• Proactively manages and holds sales team accountable for all departmental goals, metrics, expected prospecting volume and support sales activity. Monitor and review activities versus planned performance and provides feedback and coaching when there are variances to plan.
• Ensure territory management achieves maximum scope and reach utilization.
• Coordinate resources throughout the sales cycle, including product support and sales engineering. Manage and track customer and transactional information in a CRM system.
• Provide regular and accurate reporting of pipeline, forecast and performance.
• Deliver proactive contract management that includes strategic contract analysis to determine appropriate renewal action plan, assist Account Managers with contract presentation and act as key negotiator as needed.
• Support Account Managers in Executive Review preparation, presentation and follow through.
• Identify at-risk accounts and consult with internal partners to assist with development of action plans to address customer risks and opportunities; attend client meetings as needed.
• Provide support in resolution of complex client issues and requests, as well as, assessment of client needs to expand existing business.
• Stay current with market developments, solutions, and competitive offerings.
• Execute against special projects as assigned.
Position Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.
• 10+ years of high-value, business-to-business, solution sales experience is required.
• 5+ years’ experience in setting strategies for customer segments and ensuring results.
• Prior experience leading a high performance sales team required
• High level of comfort with a technology-driven, fast-paced environment that requires ability to quickly synthesize multiple sources of data.
• Sound and up-to-date technical knowledge; familiarity with CRM systems.
• Ability to sufficiently communicate with individuals at all levels in the company and with various business contacts outside of the company in an articulate, professional manner.
• Outstanding negotiating and closing skills.
• Demonstrated mentoring and team building skills.
