Our company, a global provider of information solutions, is looking for a Senior QA Analyst to contribute to the quality assurance process. This individual works closely with different team members and other countries business and IT personnel on software development projects, ongoing maintenance and enhancements web applications, designing and executing test scenarios to verify, validate and deliver high quality software solutions.
Responsibilities:
• Lead complex testing efforts, estimating time and resources.
• Define test environment configuration.
• Define test cases outside of user-defined requirements and perform testing of applications, focusing on functional and end-to-end testing, validating that system response and output accurately reflect business requirements as outlined in requirements document.
• Recommend changes to existing testing methodologies.
• Coordinate with business users and development team to plan and execute user acceptance testing.
• Identify and resolve test environment issues.
• Perform defect analysis, identifying trends and recommending process improvements.
• Software quality assurance, quality control project management, testing strategy, effort estimation.
• Requirements analysis, elicitation and validation.
• Prepares and maintains test plan, test cases, automated test scripts, test data, metrics, reports, sign-off statements.
• Defect management.
• Configuration management.
• Coordinate and execute manual and automated testing.
• Work concurrently on several projects; each with specific instructions that may differ from project to project.
• Ability to prioritize, work both independently and with the International team.
• Proactively seek out and champion alternative solutions.
Skills / Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, technical certifications , ISEB or similar
• At least 7 years of software testing/quality assurance working experience, with strong API testing skills
• Experience in all phases of the testing lifecycle, including: business and requirements analysis, and elicitation
• Experience in software quality assurance, quality control, configuration and defect management
• Experience working with Test Case management and Defect management tools
• Experience delivering test plans, test scripts, test cases, data, and applying different testing techniques
• Understanding of services (example: REST), JSON and XML data formats
• Knowledge and experience working with the following languages and/or technologies:
◦ HTML, XML, SQL, Java, .NET, Oracle, Subversion, GIT
◦ Web Services, web applications
◦ Windows and Unix like OS
• Ability to estimate effort required, perform basic project management, resource administration and coordination to attend multiple projects at the same time
• Ability to work under pressure and by objectives
• Ability to work with cross functional teams and to keep abreast of latest technologies
• Technical expertise / team player willing to share knowledge
• Strong organizational, interpersonal, work management, and analytical skills
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to facilitate effective team interaction, and to establish open, candid and trusting relationships within the team
• Attention to detail and task oriented
• Strong problem solving skills and fast learner
• Agile methodologies
• Selenium, Open Script, Soap UI, JMeter, QTP, TestNG, Loadrunner; highly preferred
