The Poplar Bluff Market Manager provides decisive, energetic leadership and guidance to market team to meet assigned financial (revenue/profitability, etc.) objectives, employee engagement targets and customer satisfaction scores; leads the sales and sales management efforts and through demonstration of well-developed executive presence, represents Commerce in various community events, organizations and activities to strengthen/establish customer and prospect relationships.
•Manages business banking efforts to assure profitability and compliance with applicable policies, etc. through targeted business development, expansion and retention strategies
•Manages coordination of lines of business activities to represent “One Commerce” as a means to optimize market opportunities and results.
•Maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory requirements, Commerce policies/procedures/practices, etc. across all lines of business
•Leads market team members to assure that objectives are met
•Maintains productive relationships with advisory board members
•Maintains effective working relationships with Community Market Regional Administration/CBI Credit/CBI Senior Management, and other similar areas as well as management/representatives from all Lines of Business
•Manages market talent through activities including requiring accountability for individual/market/corporate goals; encouraging professional/skills development; coaching for effective performance; counseling for under-performers, providing accurate performance reviews, etc.
College degree is required; emphasis in a relevant field (such as Business/ Finance/ Economics) is preferred. At least five years successful management level experience is preferred including responsibility for providing leadership to employees involved in differing functions.
Demonstrated ability to effectively lead people and manage processes is required. Proven business development and sales management ability are required. Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) are critical. Proven ability to successfully manage and complete multiple tasks/priorities/assignments concurrently. Thorough knowledge of commercial and consumer products/services/lending principles and practices is preferred. Proficiency with commercial credit sufficient to recognize “quality” of commercial prospects. Working knowledge of trust products and services is preferred. Working knowledge of bank operations and information technology is preferred.
