Our Digital Transformation & Management Associates bring a tailored approach to help develop and operationalize business strategies through the effective use of technology. You will be a part of aligning organization’s people, processes and technology across functions, to optimize performance through selection and deployment of business applications. Within the Digital Transformation & Management practice you might be involved in:
• Being a part of large scale Information Technology transformation and carve-out projects
• Integrating or divesting IT functions as a result of a merger/ acquisition or separation
• Helping clients design and implement IT strategies to ensure alignment between core business functions and Information Technology
• Assessing the current state of Information Technology within the client’s environment and identify strategies to increase the value delivered by Information Technology to the business
• Assisting organizations to leverage new and emerging technologies (ex. Intelligent automation, IoT, Cloud)
Associates will gain exposure to various areas of the practice by becoming an integral part of the delivery teams. As a Digital Transformation & Management Associate your primary responsibility will be executing high quality deliverables from beginning to end under the supervision of experienced Digital Transformation & Management leadership. You will be responsible for efficiently managing your workload to budget and learning how to apply technical skills across our various solutions. Additional responsibilities may include:
• Performing detailed analysis to identify opportunities for improvement, documenting conclusions, and providing recommendations
• Identifying business systems and technology that support business opportunities and implement recommendations using the most appropriate technology
• Utilizing and continuously learning new technologies to collaborate with team members and enhance service delivery
• Utilizing various data collection techniques, selecting appropriate method and prioritization to fit project objectives and deliverables, and applying established analytical models to evaluate data, costs and benefits
• Assisting in IT strategic planning and architecture that integrates multiple client organizations including finance, marketing, IT and business operations and supports the organization’s strategy and operational plans
• Assisting in project implementations that effectively and efficiently meet business objectives and ensure a return on investment
• Other duties as assigned
What are we looking for in an Associate?
Interested candidates should display an affinity for learning and problem-solving skills as well as have the adaptability to work cross-functionally within the Digital Transformation & Management service line. Interested candidates should be self-starters and should demonstrate strength in or a desire to build skills related to Grant Thornton’s core values of: Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Responsibility.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business and Management areas including Business Administration, Economics, Statistics, Operations, International Business, Management Information Systems, Computer and Information Systems, or Engineering. Degree requirements may vary by location
• Major and overall minimum GPA (preference) of 3.2/4.0
• Ability to travel up to 100% as required
Skill Requirements
• Interest to work cross functionally throughout different business processes within an organization
• Excellent analytical, communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Base knowledge of business systems and various MS tools
• Project management software knowledge a plus
• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Effective project and time management skills for handling multiple priorities and simultaneous projects
• Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
• Assist practice leadership in creating proposals, budgets and work plans. Participate in other business development activities as appropriate
• Enthusiasm to learn through a combination of structured, on-the-job and self-directed training
• Ability to work efficiently and effectively in a complex team environment
Digital Transformation & Management Associates are exposed to various projects across multiple solutions, allowing the Associates to discover the advisory services most suited to their skills and interests. Associates can expect to work closely with other staff, managers, and partners on all phases of the engagement lifecycle including planning, engagement management, and project wrap up. In addition, Associates are expected to actively contribute to Digital Transformation & Management’s business growth by identifying business development opportunities, participating in marketing and brand initiatives and assisting with development of Grant Thornton thought leadership.
