Grant Thornton’s Healthcare Advisory Services practice was chartered to create a suite of solutions that serve healthcare provider, payor and life sciences executives and their key business challenges. As a HCAS Associate your primary responsibility will be executing high quality Healthcare projects and services from beginning to end under the supervision of experienced HCAS leadership. You will have opportunities to build client relationships by developing a deep understanding of our clients’ businesses and delivering value through your insight and quality work. In addition, you will focus on continuously developing your technical and professional skills to grow and expand your role within Healthcare Advisory Services.
What are we looking for in a Healthcare Advisory Services Associate?
Interested candidates should display an affinity for learning and problem-solving skills as well as having the adaptability to work cross-functionally within Healthcare Advisory Services. Interested candidates should be self-starters and should demonstrate strength in or a desire to build skills related to Grant Thornton’s core values of: Collaboration, Leadership, Excellence, Agility, Respect and Responsibility.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration and/or a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Health or Hospital Administration.
• Healthcare industry experience with a preference for demonstrated technical expertise in the one or more of the solution sets described above.
• Demonstrated experience working independently on complex projects and tasks.
• Very good analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
• Strong business acumen and complex problem solving skills.
• Major and overall minimum GPA of at least 3.5.
• Ability to travel as needed to various client sites 60-100%
Skill Requirements
• Maintain active communication with both management and firm clients to manage expectations and communicate engagement priorities internally and externally.
• Motivated and entrepreneurial individual that is interested in participating and learning the health care industry and our solution sets.
• Ability and desire to problem solve and work independently with appropriate work plan and management oversight.
• Gain understanding of client operations, processes, and business objectives and utilize that knowledge on engagements.
• Think strategically about project enhancements and be able to embrace and manage change.
• Interest in written communication and desire to continuously improve with goal to write client worthy materials.
• Technical skills with respect to manipulating, cleansing and interpreting data from multiple sources and utilizing multiple tools (e.g. Microsoft Access)
• Experience working with Microsoft Office suite of products
• Adhere to the highest degree of professional standards and strict client confidentiality.
