Job Description
AMCS (Allstate Management Consulting Services) is a trusted internal organization providing integrated consulting services to enable our Allstate clients to achieve Our Shared Vision. We leverage enterprise resources to build a stronger business and act as an advisory partner that helps to improve Allstate performance by identifying and analyzing innovative business and technology opportunities, architecting new operating models, designing and improving business processes, and providing organizational redesign services. We understand the organization and are able to influence business strategy by partnering with leadership and acting as connectors, bringing the right voices and fact-based information together so that business and technology leaders can make informed decisions that benefit our customers.
This position reports to a Manager and will be responsible for aiding or leading the development and execution of management consulting projects to drive transformational change. In addition this resource will be responsible for supporting the development of lower-level team members, aiding in the maintenance of the methodology of the consulting services and cultivating and fostering complex client partnerships and relationships. This resource should be knowledgeable in one or more consulting service methodologies and should be able to help drive business opportunities that benefit Allstate and Allstate’s customers.
Key Responsibilities
Relationship Building: Builds, cultivates, and maintains long term relationships within the organization to support project delivery.
Communication: Communicates effectively in challenging and complex situations.
Corporate Awareness: Possesses cross-functional awareness. Understands the different contributions from the AORs.
Project Scoping: Manages the development of proposals and approaches for single or multi-phase projects.
Project Contracting: Leads contracting conversations of a moderate to complex nature to ensure client and consultant needs are identified and intended outcomes are understood.
Project Delivery: Executes projects and programs of moderate complexity. Seeks and utilizes relevant functional, business, and technical knowledge to identify and recommend the best solutions for clients.
Project Management: Provides timely communication of project health to engagement leaders.
Team Development: Leads team in evaluating and pursuing new business and operational improvement efforts.
Consulting Acumen: Leverages and identifies opportunities to apply benchmarking data and industry research. Leverages external research, models and practices and applies them internally to bring thought leadership to the organization.

Has some experience using design thinking practices to solve complex problems. Is able to envision and proactively design customer focused solutions.

Operates with strong results orientation, holding self and other accountable. Effectively handles project and program management issues in challenging and complex situations.
Strategic Thinking - (Intermediate)
Possesses an intermediate level understanding of Strategic Thinking demonstrated by the ability to forecast complex resource needs and recognize risks, merging diverse points of view into shared goals and objectives.
Change Champion - (Advanced)
Designs change processes to achieve adoption of KPI’s. Has confidence to challenge status quo with resilience and creates productive tension.
Qualifications
• A Bachelor's degree is required for this position. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA) or advanced degree is desired but not required.
• 5+ years’ experience in management consulting, business transformation and operating model design, process design, and modeling, and/or program and project management is preferred.
• Experience leading business projects with a focus on how digital, Artificial Intelligence (AI) and emerging technologies impact optimal business designs is desired but not required.
The candidate(s) offered this position will be required to submit to a background investigation, which includes a drug screen.
