General Description and Essential Functions
The P&C Consultant performs Human Resources related duties at the professional level and may carry out responsibilities in some or all of the following functional areas: culture, organizational development, selection and recruitment, new hire process, policy administration, training, employee relations, learning and development. This position will provide support to a specified group and or function of the bank, and support People and Culture efforts company-wide.
• Develop as a resource for management throughout the Bank on a variety of matters including culture, employee relations, organizational development and compensation.
• Facilitate management classes on HR topics and corporate programs. May design, develop and implement learning tools/resources for talent and leadership development programs
• Work closely with Learning & Development to participate in initiatives as directed and provide training as needed.
• Perform employee relation investigations as required until resolution is obtained.
• Develop, direct and implement recruiting strategies to attract quality candidates to meet the growth needs of Great Western Bank. This includes usage of networking, employee referrals, and internet sourcing.
• Support the performance and talent management process and initiatives related to talent and diversity.
• Researches and writes various human resources-related policies, procedures and other related documentation or materials.
• Handle inquiries, issues and complaints to ensure appropriate resolutions in accordance with GWB policies and applicable laws and regulations.
• Provide regular reporting as requested for support area and corporate required reporting.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications/Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, business administration or related field preferred.
• 5+ years of professional level Human Resources experience.
• General experience or knowledge on a broad range of human resource disciplines.
• Must have ability to build strong relationships with across the organization.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
• Must have the ability to make recommendations to effectively resolve problems or issues by using judgment that is consistent with applicable standards, practices, policies, procedures, regulations and/or government law.
