JOB FUNCTION / SUMMARY:
Provides expert-level analytical direction and support for fraud solutions, processes and change management. Analysts evaluate new fraud solutions, participating in design, development, testing and on-going calibration to meet loss and client experience goals. Assist the line of business in providing policy/procedure and problem solving support to ensure a strong end to end solution; and works with team and other business units to develop win-win scenarios to drive quality, improve the client experience, manage risk more effectively, while enabling revenue and client engagement.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Creates detailed project plans and tracking documents to track a
• Fraud solutions expert; Card, Wire & ACH, Online, Check/Deposit and New Account. This is inclusive of all channels at the bank.
• Evaluates and supports the design, development, testing and implementation of fraud solutions; focus on process, tools and operational effectiveness. Extensive experience with business requirements and cost/benefit analysis.
• Plays a key role in communicating issues related to projects and/or requests to line of business partners and programming/technical staff
• Extensive root cause analysis experience, particularly related to fraud incidents. Ability to leverage findings to quickly mitigate loss through effective deployment of fraud strategies, rules and controls while ensuring a sound client experience. Experience with industry leading fraud solutions is important.
• Creates documentation related to the new solutions; partners with operational managers to ensure process and tools are integrated with an end to end solution orientation; focus on the client experience and loss mitigation is critical.
• Confers with line of business partners to ensure fraud roadmap and tactics are aligned with LOB goals and risk appetite, including focus on client experience.
• Trains staff and management team on new process, solutions and controls.
• Supports the execution of strategies in support of the Enterprise Fraud roadmap.
• Responsible for service level agreements, adherence and reporting for new solutions.
• Focuses on standardizing and optimizing key processes that influence customer satisfaction and/or productivity
• Provides leadership and direction to cross-functional teams empowered to execute process/product improvement
• Identifies and removes barriers that slow or prevent the successful attainment of process/productivity improvement and administrative efficiency that leads to customer satisfaction
• Confers with personnel of business units involved to analyze current operational procedures, identify problems and learn specific input and output requirements such as forms of data input, how data is to be summarized and formats for reports
• Writes detailed Technical Design Specifications of user needs, program functions and steps required to develop or modify computer program
• Reviews computer system capabilities, workflow and scheduling limitations to determine if requested program or program change is possible within existing system
• Studies existing information processing systems to evaluate effectiveness and develops new systems to improve production or workflow as necessary
• Prepares workflow charts and diagrams to specify in detail operations to be performed by equipment and computer programs and operations to be performed by personnel in system
• Conducts studies pertaining to development of new information systems to meet current and projected needs
• Plans and prepares technical reports, memoranda, and instructional manuals as well as documentation of program development
• Upgrades system and corrects errors to maintain system after implementation
• Assists computer programmer in resolution of work problems related to flow charts, project specifications or programming
• Prepares time and cost estimates for completing projects
• Directs and coordinates work of others to develop, test, install and modify programs
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Associate’s Degree or higher preferred
• At least 5 years related experience
• A combination of education and experience is acceptable
MINIMUM REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE:
• Knowledge of records management software products, imaging systems and automated databases
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Excellent communication, analytical, customer service and organizational skills
• Ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel
• Strong presentation skills
• Preferred knowledge in Accounting software; Contact Management systems; Database software; Development software; Human Resource systems; Internet software; Payroll systems; Project Management software; Spreadsheet software
ESSENTIAL MENTAL & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
• Ability to travel
• Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 50 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions. If the employee is unable to lift/move/carry this weight and can be accommodated without causing the department/division an “undue hardship” then the employee must be accommodated; hence omitting lifting/moving/carrying as a physical requirement.
