As a Senior Human Resources Business Partner based in our Los Angeles, CA office, you will be a critical member of the Human Resources (HR) team driving Capital’s North American Distribution business, focusing on our Private Client Services business (PCS), our corporate Strategy & Innovation team, and our Canadian distribution organization. As an HR business partner, you will play a pivotal role in evolving Capital’s business by meeting changing business demands and driving the people dimension of the organizations you support.
Responsibilities:
•Consult with the business in the design and delivery of HR solutions on a broad spectrum of HR matters - including organization design, associate engagement, change management, compensation, recruiting and associate relations
•Provide thought leadership, education and tools to managers and/or associates on the application of company practices related to career development, talent management, engagement and diversity and inclusion
•Coach and support business leaders in developing high performing teams, building the talent bench, and driving associate engagement. Facilitate the performance review program to ensure effectiveness and alignment with individual performance
•Enhance organization effectiveness by assessing development and learning needs; facilitate or procure training programs and group discussions on various topics, such as leadership development, change management, business transformation, restructuring and performance management
•Conduct HR trend analysis and reporting activities to identify and anticipate opportunities; recommend solutions
•Execute on initiatives and projects, in partnership with the business and HR specialist teams
Qualifications:
•7+ years of progressive HR generalist experience
•Strong business and financial acumen, demonstrated knowledge of your business
•Knowledge of and expertise in human resources processes, market place best practices, and legal compliance
•Experience identifying and addressing complex performance management and other employee relations issues
•Passionate in supporting, coaching and developing great talent
•Empathetic, great listener and coach
•Motivated achiever that brings positive energy to your interpersonal and business interactions
•Committed team player and advancing organizational goals
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to effectively deliver important messages across a diverse group of associates and senior business leaders
•Ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders
•Demonstrated aptitude to analyze data, identify trends and turn information into actionable business insights
•Proficient facilitation and presentation skills including experience delivering human resources training programs
•Undergraduate degree required; Masters in Industrial Relations/Human Resources or an MBA is preferred
