Overview
The VP, Compensaation develops, implements and administers compensation such as salaries, short- and long-term incentives, job evaluations, salary increases, and salary surveys. Additionally will provide support with analyses of compensation programs for executives, officers, and other top key positions, financial and tax treatment of compensation programs, and proxy disclosure and analysis.
Job Description
• Manage and enhance multiple components of total compensation for the company.
• Define and administer comprehensive compensation management discipline to attract, develop, and retain resources to support the Company’s operational goals.
• Equip the organization with an effective compensation system, including the following:Market based base salary grading structure, and salary administration programs.
• Manage the job evaluation process for compliance and market pricing.
• Ensure effective compliance and record keeping controls are in place for all compensation actions.
• Facilitate and enhance through systemic and analytical improvements the Company’s annual and quarterly base, and short- and long-term incentive processes.
• Oversight of plan design, calculation and accounting responsibilities for all production based incentive plans.
• Equity program design and administration, including Performance and Restricted Units and Options.
• Executive compensation design, facilitation, and administration including production and management of quarterly and annual board related materials.
• Manage board pay vehicles, including pay analysis and execution.
• Work in collaboration with leadership to structure and implement market-competitive compensation solutions to engage and reward talent for delivering desired business results.
• Provide advanced analytics for base salary, short- and long-term incentives, which includes the calculation and budgeting of all pay vehicles.
• Manage market data vendors.
• Ensure all internal and external control requirements are implemented, tested and applied in all areas of compensation.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, industry and non-industry specific wage & hour and other employment laws.
• Perform other related duties as required and assigned
• Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values
Ideal Candidate will have the following:
• Conversant with technical and critical components of Human Resource Management Strategy.
• Contemporary knowledge of business concepts, life cycles, and processes.
• Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) designation
• Must have advanced Excel and database skills
• Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and able to work independently
• Proven track record at delivering timely and accurate information in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent critical thinking, problem solving, mathematical skills and sound judgment
• Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred
• Strong business acumen and ability to interface effectively with executive management
