Description
Responsibilities
• Evaluates financial planning and analysis to contribute to short and long-term financial goals and business operations and decisions.
• Acts independently to represent Finance on cross-functional management teams for a function or business.
• Collaborates to resolve complex issues and provide strategic direction, to support the Finance function.
• Develops checks and balances to ensure activities are being conducted in line with regulatory and tax requirements.
• Prepares and delivers reports and presentations to advise management on financial analyses, results, and recommendations.
• Creates and maintains financial models, performs variance analyses, and develops business cases and investment summaries.
• Interact with the Market Business Leaders to assist with the development of budgets, forecasts, and related variance analyses inclusive of identification of underlying drivers of results
• Audits, monitors, and ensures financial practices are conducted accurately and compliantly with regulations, laws and standards.
• Develops process for auditing financial reports, P&L, balance sheets, cashflows, and statistical analyses.
• Identifies financial and operational KPIs and oversees the conversion to dashboards to drive accountability for performance throughout the company.
Qualifications
Requirements:
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
• 2- 5 years of relevant business experience in Financial Planning & Analysis or similar area
• Initiative and sound judgment to make appropriate and timely decisions
• Ability to understand and articulate financial impact or business decisions
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office – advanced Excel and PowerPoint user
• Experience working with data and analytic tools such as Hyperion Interactive Reporting
• Comfortable presenting to senior management; able to appropriately challenge senior business leaders and their assumptions
• Positive attitude and ability to adapt to an ever-changing environment
• Must be able to multi-task, to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Able to work independently or with a team
• Desire to develop into more senior finance roles
