Commerce Bank is looking for a Business Line Project Manager I in Commercial Payments. The ability to manage multiple projects concurrently while streamlining similar tasks across projects for maximum efficiency is expected. The Project Manager will work across multiple business lines within the department as well as with individuals across the Bank. The ideal candidate will be able to build and foster relationships with individuals at all levels, including Senior and Executive management.
The Project Manager will have knowledge of commonly-used project management concepts, practices, and procedures. The candidate will continuously strive to educate themselves on project management through continual online training and/or training provided by management. The candidate must have strong communication skills and a strong attention to detail. The candidate will display a sense of urgency in meeting deadlines. The candidate will exhibit commitment and a sense of ownership by anticipating potential project delays and act to remove impediments.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Create and maintain project plans and project documentation
• Define project scope and develop project requirements
• Coordinates schedules for meetings with project participants
• Monitors and escalates risks and issues, as appropriate
• Communicates clearly and consistently
• Adheres to project deadlines and commitments
• Exceeds customer expectations of professionalism
• Lead and facilitate meetings
• Participate in cross-functional teams
Work Hours: Monday-Friday (8:00am-5:00pm)
Required Skills
• Ability to work independently and be effectively proactive in a relatively unstructured environment
• Experience working with multiple business areas
• Ability to establish immediate credibility with clients and within the company; can build consensus and achieve goals through influence
• Ability to deal with ambiguity and decipher what is needed
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work on multiple assignments with minimal disruption
Education
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Project Management certificates (PMP and/or CSM)
