Job Description
Loan Servicing Specialist Work Lead, Lending and Trade Services, Livonia
The LTS Loan Servicing Specialist is responsible for maintaining the day to day team activities within our Collateral Services Team which includes the workflow for the four primary functions and will be responsible to maintain operation and data reporting, as well as, completion of any self-audits to remain compliant with regulatory guidelines, corporate policies and service level agreements.
This position will be responsible to monitor the department workload activities including releases, insurance monitoring, property tax monitoring, and all document safekeeping activities to defined service levels for the benefit of lenders, Credit and external customers.

Position Responsibilities:
Service Effectiveness
• Monitors receipt and assignment of work items, including issue resolution.
• Monitor department workload to defined service levels.
• Maintain daily production logs.
• Train and assist Collateral Analyst I and Collateral Analyst II on existing procedures.
• Creates and maintains work assignments to ensure appropriate staffing.
• Reviews accounts to identify problems and provide recommendations to resolve account activity issues.
• Provides customer service and support to external customers.
• Identify process improvement opportunities or initiatives to improve the client/customer experience.
• Act as SME supporting Lean Six Sigma engagements to reduce/eliminate process waste and increase efficiencies.
• Serves as primary contact with lending groups and customers to assist in escalated issue resolution.
• Provide guidance and recommendations to external customers in relation to their maintenance requests to ensure policies and procedures are adhered to.
Risk Management
• Supports oversight and provides recommend improvements to operation controls for the Collateral Services team to successfully pass all risk exams, audits, and business continuity tests. Assist with the remediation or development of work plans to address issues timely.
• Participate in Collateral Services audits/exams by providing needed resources and requested information per agreed upon timeframes and ensure all requested responses for all exceptions or issues completed within the requested time frame.
• Develop, review and update procedures and process flows to ensure work is effectively documented.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree, Business Administration OR High School Diploam or equivalent and 4 years' experience in Financial Services or Lending Operations
• 2 Year of Mortgage Lending or Banking Industry experience, including loan closing and mortgage investor documentation
• 2 years of loan accounting and balancing
• 2 years customer service or relations experience
• 2 year experience of residential mortgage loan workflow or financial transaction systems
