Wealth Management Operations
Global Wealth Management Operations provides brokerage, investment and financial services to hundreds of thousands of individual investors. We apply our expertise in serving institutional clients to create new opportunities for people to achieve their personal financial goals. Morgan Stanley has one of the largest retail brokerage networks, with numerous worldwide representatives and retail locations. Our services are tailored to each client's investment objectives, risk tolerance, and financial needs. Products include mutual funds, stocks, bonds, and alternative investments where appropriate, as well as banking, mortgages, insurance and annuities.
The Director within Bill Pay and P2P is responsible for becoming a Subject Matter Expert and providing operational support to the department. The Bill Pay and P2P Team is responsible for reviewing and decisioning client and external ACH and check disputes; interacting with third party payment companies, overseeing the Zelle (P2P) operational support team and coordinating with branches to process bill payment exceptions. . This director level role will lead a team of representatives.
Responsibilities:
Operational oversight for the Check and ACH Dispute resolution
Operational oversight and strategic leadership for Zelle (P2P) product
Assist with processing exception items for the, AAA clients Check, ACH, and Direct Deposit transactions.
Complete daily regulatory reviews, and assist with client service requests and reconciliation for the team.
Centralization of regulatory oversight, procedures, and WSPs to ensure proper controls are documented
Review, maintain and abide by detailed and standardized operating and supervisory procedures
Manage special project tasks as required
Facilitate team meetings, individual career conversations and regular one on one meetings with staff
Compile daily/weekly/monthly metrics and report via metric dashboards and business reviews
Work with stakeholders to drive improvements, innovation and automation across the bank services team with particular focus on the Zelle product
Build and maintain a strong partnership with Morgan Stanley?s risk partners to minimize risk and/or exposure to our clients and the firm, as well as participate in due diligence and audit activities.
Qualifications:
-Bachelor's Degree, business degree preferred
• Management experience with teams of 5-10 employees
• Knowledge of banking and brokerage operations
• Comfortable operating in white space areas where you may not have all the answers and need to come up with creation solutions to issues
• Strong Working knowledge of Outlook, Word, and Excel
• Proven proficiency in problem resolution and demonstrated initiative
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Professional oral and written communication skills
• Superior attention to detail
• Able to prioritize and multi-task
