Ameritas Life Insurance Corp is seeking an IT Quality Analyst III to drive the business by being responsible for both quality assurance and quality control; these professionals instill and ensure quality in all project activities and deliverables. The focus for quality assurance is defect prevention and continuous improvement. For quality control, associates are responsible for creating an end-to-end test plan; executing the plan and managing all activities in the plan to ensure that all the objectives are met and that the solution works as expected. Solutions are tested in terms of functionality, performance, reliability, stability and compatibility with other legacy- and / or external systems.
QA Analysts not only ensure our project deliverables are of the highest quality but are also committed to sharing ideas and tools that can make our people, processes, and systems better. Ensuring our technology is "fit for purpose" and "right the first time" allows us to provide a positive experience to our business partners and policyholders, effectively making us more approachable and touching more lives.
Essential Job Functions
• Responsible for Developing and executing tests for assigned work
• Test Coordinator; Overseeing and directing test practices and activities for one or more projects
• Provides input into planning, designing, and executing tests for automated and manual testing
• Provides training, mentoring, and guidance to other team members
• Determines and develops testing approach to solutions
• Assists in the development of in house test tools
• Researches requirements and validates proposed approaches
• Performs automation support policy moves, CPLP, research and analysis, script maintenance, script processing
• Conducts reviews ensuring testability, accuracy, and consistency of requirements, technical designs and test grids
• Overseeing defect lifecycle Provides input into risk analysis
• Identifies opportunities for continuous improvement within the QA/QC domain
• Participates in production verification and checkout
Requirements
• 5+ years of related skill and competency experience demonstrated through job experience.
• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
