Here’s Where You Come In
As the Receptionist/Assistant, you will have the opportunity to provide customer service to our staff and to our clients. You will provide administrative support to our team and will help our team build stronger relationships with our clients.
Role Expectations
• Open receptions area and office by the required office opening time each day and closes the reception area at the end of the day
• Present a friendly, professional demeanor at all times
• Answer incoming telephone calls, determine purpose of callers, and forward calls to appropriate personnel or department in a friendly and professional manner
• Take and deliver messages and faxes; transfer calls to voicemail when appropriate personnel are unavailable
• Answer questions about organization and provide callers with address, directions, and other information as required
• Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel
• Act as backup support to all departments (Personal Lines, Commercial Lines, and Employee Benefits)
• Performs other clerical duties as needed, such as filing, photocopying, and collating
• Receive, sort, date stamp, and route mail or packages to appropriate personnel
• Organize outgoing mail, separating mail to insurance carriers and other offices, and prepare for pickup
• Order, receive, and maintain office supplies
• Coordinate maintenance of office equipment with vendors
• Maintain local contact lists and directories

• Excellent customer service, interpersonal skills, and telephone etiquette
• Ability to learn and follow service standards and guidelines
• Strong oral and written communication skills (technical and non-technical)
• Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
• Ability to multi-task
• Commitment to continuous personal and professional growth
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Working knowledge of MS Office systems (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
