The Manager – Policy Forms Filing AXA is an entry level manager position in the Product area of the Employee Benefits (EB) division, reporting directly to Director of EB Policy Forms Filing and Compliance. The person in this role supports Employee Benefits array of products including group life insurance, dental and vision, short-term and long-term disability, gap medical and hospital indemnity, and critical illness with various filing initiatives with the state departments of insurance.
A successful candidate will have the ability to learn new concepts, apply analytical reasoning and multi-task.
Responsibilities:
Product Forms Filing
• Execute state filings activities for all employee benefits products in the 50 states, DC and PR in the SERFF and I-File.
• Assembling insurance product filings to state insurance departments for submission.
• Distribute approved rate, rule and form materials as appropriate to internal and external partners, utilizing the best method available and collaborating with all related groups internally.
• Follow processes for responding to state objections and criticisms. As needed, request extensions, re-submissions and withdrawals with close attention to deadlines and restrictions.
• Support additional areas as needed to achieve full compliance and to reach team performance goals.
• Complete state filing certifications, readability memos and other related filing transmittals.
• Performs other policy form related duties as required.
• Research competitor product offerings for potential inclusion AXA’s product suite.
• Prepare product filing of policy, certificate, amendments and related forms.
• Develop business rules for the Information Technology team; provide system specifications applicable to new and revised forms and support implementation.
Compliance and Product Development
• Support initiatives to comply with regulatory requirements impacting the product filing and approval of and group policies and/or certificates for all Employee Benefits products.
• Contribute to the development of products added to the EB product suite particularly related to relevant policy language and forms.
• Attends internal product development and product filing projects strategy meetings.
• Research and develop products for other markets; Associations, Trusts, Labor Union, etc.
• Respond to inquiries from Quality Assurance and Operations.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Requirements:
• Bachelors degree required
• 3 to 5 years Compliance experience, preferably in a regulated industry
• 3 to 5 years Contract Administration Experience
• Advanced writing and verbal communication is a must.
• Ability to adapt to changing priorities.
• Insurance Industry experience a plus
• Paralegal experience a plus
• Life and Accident & Health claims adjudication a plus
