OVERVIEW
1) Support the Pittsburgh PDS team through assisting other PM's with completing client deliverables (Meeting Minutes, Schedules, Budgets, Agendas, Project Charters, etc.)
2) Support the Pittsburgh PDS team through assisting with data bench marking initiatives
3) Assist with onsite project inspections
4) Assist and participate in weekly client job meetings
5) Training and growth opportunities exist and goal of the APM is to create a skill base to eventually become a Project Manager will more independent work
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Assist the project team on projects and assignments
• Proactively manage project-related issues on account or assignment.
• Assist in developing scope, schedule and budget for assigned projects
• May conduct and document project specific weekly meetings, prepare/update project status reports and maintain files for due diligence and financials
• Coordinate activities of vendors (GC, A&E, Furniture, Specialty Vendors, etc) to ensure full compliance with all project policies and procedures
• May manage small renovation projects.
• Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors.
• Proactive, meets client and project requirements in a timely and cost effective manner.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
• BA/BS in architecture, engineering, interior design, construction management or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
• 2-5 years of related experience in project management or administration
• Experience with project scope development, budgeting, scheduling and contract negotiations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
• Ability to prepare and track budgets
• Experience or knowledge of planning, interior architecture and design
• Knowledge of construction or commercial real estate industry
• Understanding of technical requirements of office relocations
• Familiarity with architectural drawings, furniture and space planning concepts
• Flexibility with work hours and travel as needed
• Excellent communications, able to interface with all levels including executives.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Project
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required
