General Description and Essential Functions
Complete various day-to-day functions within the operations department.
• Responsible for the review and balancing of incoming and outgoing transactions for accuracy.
• Responsible for accurately reviewing mobile deposits and large dollar items.
• Assist with completing research requests submitted by Bankers.
• Complete the following exception processing tasks, as assigned –
◦ Daily review and posting of NSFs
◦ Processing of chargebacks/returned deposited items
◦ Correct non-posted transactions and review suspect stop payments
• Must be able to work with complex banking transactions. Will actively look for and identify possible risks and fraudulent activities.
• Provide quality customer service to both internal and external customers. This includes responding to inquiries related to transactions and customer accounts, troubleshooting and resolving issues and following up via phone and email.
• Must possess the ability to understand and process multiple types of inquires in a professional, fast-paced and high volume environment.
• Exercise discretion, strong interpersonal skills and independent judgment with respect to some of the most significant functions within the Bank.
• Cross train and learn other functions within the department and other areas of operations, as needed.
• Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications/Experience
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years of banking experience or experience with banking systems required.
• Capable of accurate data entry/transaction processing.
• Strong computer skills.
• Detail oriented.
