Essential Functions:
1. Demonstrate basic understanding and knowledge of the banking and consumer loan industry.
2. Review all new loan applications to validate the information received on the application matches the information on the system.
3. Responsible for preparing all initial disclosures and validating the disclosures meet the required timeframes, as well as ordering all vendor items which includes the appraisal, title work, homeowners insurance, and verifications of employment.
4. Act as a liaison between the Personal Bankers and Underwriters that are involved in the transaction to meet expected service level agreements for the department.
5. Complete all closing duties for loans that are ready to close, this includes but is not limited to: Verify all invoices are received and are updated in the system of record, validate fee tolerances are in line for the customer, partner with title companies and bankers in regards to preparing the closing documents as well as balancing the closing disclosure, and validating timing requirements are met for when disclosures are set out to customers.
6. Partner with internal customers such as bankers, underwriters, escrow department, loan maintenance department, consumer loan support department, as well as senior management. This position does not talk to customers over the phone so it is critical all internal partners are viewed as customers so providing outstanding service to fellow employees is essential.
7. Perform other job-related duties or special projects as assigned.
Minimum Qualification/Experience:
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• 1 to 2 years of relevant experience.
• Basic knowledge of the banking industry.
• Strong analytical, problem solving and organizational skills with the ability to thrive in a fast paced environment.
• Must work well under pressure, meeting multiple and sometimes conflicting deadlines.
• Detail oriented and discreet with confidential information.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Computer proficiency, particularly with Microsoft Office Word and Excel.
