POSITION AVAILABLE – KPMG LLP
Director, Management Consulting (Irvine, California) (Multiple Positions)
Develop solutions related to strategy improvement and purchase-to-pay (P2P) services procurement, category management, and contract management. Execute process transformation, measurable improved operational performance, and organizational restructuring. Participate in continual development and publication of operations and procedures guidelines. Support highly skilled client and KPMG LLP (KPMG) work teams throughout the project life cycle by leveraging KPMG's P2P and procurement approaches and frameworks, and help to ensure the timely execution of project deliverables. Engage in business development activities, including targeting key C-level clients, proposing KPMG's services and closing opportunities in the financial services industry. Establish client value propositions that tie financial metrics and chief financial officer focus areas directly to operations business improvement. Assist with practice administration, including resource allocation, career development of staff, and other personnel management decisions.
WORK SCHEDULE: 40 hours per week, M-F (9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.)
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Operations Analysis, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field and 3 years of related work experience; OR a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Operations Analysis, Industrial Management, Engineering, or a related field and 7 years of post-bachelor's, progressive related work experience. Of the required experience, must have 1 year of experience with the following: external management consulting in third party risk management area, category management, and contract management processes in the financial services industry; project management and oversight, including supervising staff-level engagement teams in the field and providing input into engagement decisions, contract management, and operational restructuring; global risk and compliance technology; technology-enabled procurement; and strategic sourcing. Travel required up to 90%. Employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training, or experience.
