Provide loan administration services for complex permanent commercial real estate loans, construction loans, and/or commercial business loans.
Major Responsibilities:
70% Documentation Preparation: Prepare loan documentation to reflect approved loan terms and consistency with Bank Policy and Procedures for new loans and modifications as well as compliance with governing regulatory authorities. Ensure loan documentation complies with Banks operational requirements and can be serviced on Banks system of record. Coordinate document negotiations between borrower, attorney and account offices as appropriate and obtain approvals as required. Deliver executable loan documents in accordance with account officer and borrower requirements. Communicate and coordinate with all external parties with regards to required information (legal, title, and escrow).
20% Training and Advisory: Develop training scripts/ exercises for less experienced staff members. Develop and implement procedures and develop opportunities for continuous improvement. Conduct training of staff members as directed by Manager, helping to ensure consistency of method across the unit. May provide coaching and guidance to other loan administrators. Performs quality review of prepared and/or executed documents and approves for further processing. Direct the work flow in the unit, ensuring even distribution amongst team members. Answer questions from team members, and ensure that work is completed within departmental timelines. Provide input to Manager for employee performance appraisals and scheduling. Demonstrate enthusiasm, teamwork, and creativity. Encourage collaboration by sharing ideas and knowledge, and help to build an environment which encourages participation and open communication.
10% Miscellaneous Duties: Act as liaison with IRMG, OCC or other auditors/ examiners in providing background, explanations, supporting detail. Actively participate in all UAT, applying technical knowledge and expertise to ensure viability of enhancements. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• In-depth knowledge of commercial real estate and/or commercial documentation; at least 3-5 years of work experience in this area.
• Previous experience with preparing loan documents through the use of an automated documentation system.
