Job Overview
The Director of Strategic Account Management is responsible for account management and overall all program/account management for our largest and most complex customers globally. This role has direct responsibility and accountability for the support, communication, planning, proactive account management retention and growth of existing class and non-class products and services for the defined customer base. They will work with key domestic and international account stakeholders to develop a thorough understanding of their organization’s business objectives and strategically aligning relationships and processes. Additionally responsible for building and implementing customer relationship strategies by devising and executing detailed account planning to ensure clients receive the best of what ABS has to offer.

Qualifications
Job Duties:
• Responsible for a book of business of large, multi-national companies and/or highly complex clients
• Builds, leads and manages company strategic account management process to ensure sustained success and growth of strategic accounts
• Builds and manages strategic account management team
• Leads solution development efforts that best address customer needs, while coordinating the involvement of all necessary company personnel
• Meets assigned targets for profitable sales volume and strategic objectives in assigned accounts
• Establishes a trusted advisor relationship with the customer’s executive team and other customer key decision-makers that works to ensure the customer’s overall satisfaction with our products and services
• Develops account success plans for customers that outline their critical success factors, metrics for success, all key stakeholders, potential issues, trends and provides recommendations to ABS management and customer
• Working with the strategic account management team, leads the development of each strategic account plan and strategy coordinating with the appropriate ABS resources globally utilizing the established account strategy process including standard account planning templates and tools
• Provides information on current and future pursuits and pipeline across assigned accounts to the associated leadership teams. Forecasts and tracks growth against established baseline and account plan.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required

• Significant knowledge base in the maritime, offshore or related industry
• Strong collaboration skills with a track record of building internal and external networks and trust with a drive to get the right people involved at the right time to produce the best outcomes
• A track record of driving results for maximizing business within assigned accounts
• Proven ability to meet and exceed sales revenue quotas
• Strong solution based selling skills
• Excellent communications (verbal & written) presentation and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to communicate complex concepts and technical benefits in business terms to the executive level
• Effective project management skills that organizes internal teams to ensuring client objectives are consistently met
Minimum Years of Experience
Ten years of progressive responsibility in strategic sales or sales management to large customers, with a proven track record of providing strategic account management to large organizations through matrixed environments
Required/Preferred Educational Requirements
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, naval architecture or business administration or a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred..
