Zions Bancorp is now accepting resumes for a Financial Analyst in the National Municipal Finance Group. This is a new position based on the growth of this business unit, and will present opportunities for increasing responsibility and importance as it continues to evolve.
Ideal candidates will have the skills and experience necessary to:
• Create and analyze financial statements and other financial documents or data to aide management in decision making process.
• Knowledge of municipal and/or commercial credit analysis, analyzing financial statements and credit scoring/quality analysis.
• Knowledge of bond, loan and lease documentation preferred.
• Analyze business division transactions and planning cycle activities.
• Excellent writing and verbal communication skills and competent in collaborating with internal and external senior level stakeholders.
• Prepare short and long term financial planning reports of key performance indicators, ad hoc analysis reports, economic valuations and cost benefit information.
• Be adaptable and take on additional assignments as needed.
Qualifications
What you’ll bring to the table:
• Requires a Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting or Finance, and 2+ years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, budgets or other directly related experience. A combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
• Basic knowledge of financial analysis practices, principles, applications and analysis methods.
• Must have solid analytical skills.
• Ability to develop financial models.
• Solid written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prepare oral and written reports.
• Ability to work in a heavily deadline oriented environment.
• Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
• Ability to identify, research, coordinate and resolve issues.
• Must be organized, detail-oriented, and able to multi-task.
• Works effectively with co-workers and both internal and external customers. Excellent computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Access).
