Risk Governance Assessment Manager, Vice President

Job Summary: As a member of the Risk Governance Validation team within Americas Risk Management, you will be advancing the Bank's risk management culture, structure, processes and tools in support of the bank's Risk Governance framework. This position is part of a team of risk professionals responsible for key risk governance functions, including validation of the effectiveness of the Bank's risk management framework.
Additional Information:
This VP level position reports directly to the Head of Risk Governance Validation (Managing Director) within Americas Risk Management. This position will:
1. Manage, conduct and document structured risk management assessments to validate the effectiveness of the bank’s programs for regulatory requirements such as Heightened Standards, Enhanced Prudential Standards, stress testing or other key enterprise risk management rules and guidance;
2. Manage and maintain the enterprise stress testing governance framework;
3. Manage and support additional functions as required, responding to evolving regulatory and organizational developments as directed by senior management.
This position interacts at multiple levels across the company, including very senior levels.
Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
• A seasoned professional with a high level of independent judgment and skills in the areas of bank risk management processes, risk information systems and tools, project management, executive-level reporting, and change leadership.
• An individual with a high level of experience and comfort navigating a changing environment, developing and executing complex plans, building new risk systems and processes, and communicating effectively at all levels of the organization.
• Expertise should include areas such as: Enterprise Risk Management, Enhanced Prudential Standards, Heightened Standards, Operational Risk, Credit Risk, Market Risk, Stress Testing, Risk Appetite, Risk Governance, and/or other risk management disciplines.
• Prior experience in audit, assessment, compliance, risk controls, or similar may be applicable.
Qualifications
Experience should include:
• Proven ability to fully absorb and understand complex regulatory documentation and translate rules into business implications and business requirements.
• Good understanding of business processes
• Strong ability to plan and execute complex projects across a large organization.
• Leadership and interpersonal skills, including team building, influence management and collaboration.
• Ability to work effectively with employees at all levels and broadly across a large complex institution.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Keen analytical skills, problem solving, organizing, and attention to detail.
• Expertise with full MS Office Suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, as well as Visio, MS Project, Adobe, and similar applications is required.
• Strong understanding of and demonstrated experience with data governance and controls, risk management information systems and processes is desired.
• Expertise with document and reference tracking such as SharePoint and GRC tools, such as OpenPages or similar, are also desired.
Education, Licensure, Experience:
• Seasoned professional with 7-10 years of experience in risk, finance or related field
• Industry experience in banking, enterprise risk management, and credit/market/operational risk management is highly desirable
