Job TitleProduct Analyst
What does a great Product Analyst do?
You are dedicatedly involved in product planning and design throughout the product lifecycle. This means conducting assessments, researching and evaluating to settle feasibility of new product ideas and improvements to existing products. You work with a cross-functional team across sales, corporate communications, legal, product development, product management and technology. In this role, you’ll be coordinating initial stages of new product development and design changes.
• Work with external clients for training, identification and solution to their new requirements and opportunities to improve their experience.
• Formulates and defines Business Architecture.
• Formulates and defines Project Feasibility Studies.
• Formulates and defines user stories.
• Identifies options for potential solutions and assessing them for business suitability. Documents functional requirements and determine complexity of work.
• Provides analysis to resolve production issues.
• Performs User Acceptance Test (UAT).
• SME in training support staff on product solutions.
• Works with internal and external clients.
• Participates in product demos.
• Assists Product Managers with Voice of the Client and Business.
• Mentors and advises less experienced Business Analysts in requirements process.
• participate with product managers and product development teams to define product requirements, specifications, acceptance testing criteria and design requirements
• Serve as Business Analyst, engaging with the Business Systems Analysts, as appropriate, to ensure requirements are understood and that software being developed meets the business requirements, new ideas, approaches or insights; build creative products or designs; produce a range of solutions to problems.
• Focus on customer needs and happiness; set high standards for quality and quantity; monitor and maintain quality and productivity.
• Complete documentation which may include various analysis documents. Ensure documents are timely and client orientated
• Keep up to date with competitor information, tools, standard methodologies and market trends; identify business opportunities for the organization.
• Support sales activities, which would include contributions and organization to demos, Proof of Concept projects.
Required qualifications for consideration:
• Bachelor’s degree required (Business, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management, Decision Sciences, Mathematics, Engineering, Computer Science preferred). Relevant equivalent work experience may be substituted for degree requirement.
• Travel Required: Availability to travel up to 15%
• Minimum 3 years of relevant industry experience, product development, business system analysis
Preferred qualifications for consideration:
• Competent to work in systems analysis and consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment / architecture.
• A solid understanding of the methodologies surrounding the SDLC, agile
• An ability to understand the valuable proposition of their respective project.
• A solid understanding of Project Management.
• Results Oriented.
• Self-Starter.
• Strong Communication, Presentation, and Writing Skills.
• Knowledge of Portfolio Accounting Systems, Order Management Systems and Back-office exposure is desirable, but not required
• Knowledge of trading and modeling
• Knowledge of the Separately Managed Account space.
• A solid understand of various web-based technologies
• Working knowledge of Access, Word, and Excel.
• Firm understanding of Business Process, Workflow & Risk Management
• Knowledge of data modeling & ETL
• Deep understanding of the industry and Fiserv Investment Services products is a plus
• Proven ability to understand complex business and technical concepts and to be able to make good judgment when faced with trade-offs
• Ability to work independently and maintain tight deadlines.
• Knowledge of relational databases
