Job Purpose:
Working with a limited degree of supervision, the New Business Service Administration Specialist I will identify opportunities for improvements to processes and serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on products and systems. This role is responsible for processing incoming annuity applications and communicating by phone and written correspondence with wholesalers and/or advisors regarding complex contract issues and questions. This role may also serve as a trainer and may develop documentation for assigned business area.
Job Responsibilities:
• Makes decisions around, and processes, incoming annuity applications based on the request and in accordance to business and regulatory rules
• Communicates with wholesalers and/or advisors, providing options and taking the necessary actions
• Conducts research on files that require in-depth study and analysis
• Serves as a product resource for internal departments of the organization
• May provide product and system training
Job Requirements:
• Associates Degree or applicable experience
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Knowledge of investment products, preferred
• Strong experience in Microsoft Office Suite and general computer skills
