Job Description:
At Regions the Operations Specialist is responsible for specialized clerical work and support in bank operations.
This position requires the tracking of time and is eligible for overtime under the non-exempt FLSA classification for hours worked in excess of 40 per week
Primary Responsibilities
•Carries out specialized research to resolve problems
•Helps train personnel in the department
•Recommends latest methods to improve departmental procedures
•Monitors laws and regulations to ensure compliance
•Maintains forecasted production to meet departmental goals
Requirements
•High school diploma or GED and three years of banking related work experience
•Strong PC skills and excellent written and oral communications skills
•Show initiative while being a self starter with the ability to handle time pressures while working efficiently and accurately
•Strong organizational skills are a must with the ability to multi-task
•Knowledge of banking procedures
Preferences
•College courses or college degree
Additional Requirements:
•Process all Domestic Wire request for external customers and internal associates who have wire pins
Additional Responsibilities:
•Answer high volume of incoming calls, including inquiries, and research questions form internal and external customers.
•Process & Repair all incoming wires via Fed that stop in the system
•Process all outgoing wires that stop in the system
Additional Preferences:
•Experience in a Wire Room
•Mainframe experience
•Familiarity with Money Transfer Systems
